If there was ever a book I found hard to review, it has to be this one. Let me explain. I DO NOT read memoirs. I once swore to myself long ago that I would never touch a memoir. Why did I read this one? I'll start from the beginning.The book was sponsored on Facebook. I recognized the author's name from a science fiction I had read and loved by the same man. The book was free and so on a whim I downloaded it. One night, not able to sleep, I needed something to read. The paperback I was currently reading was out of question so I decided to give this eBook a try. No harm done, each chapter was written as a mini anecdote. I could put it aside any time I wanted. Yeah…right…
To make this short, I liked what I read. It reminded me of the things my friends and I did in our youth. (Yes, the stupid things we could do sometimes. I'm surprised we're still alive.) Each story brought back some of my own memories. I could almost picture the author in these precarious, perilous acts.
This short book may not be for everyone, but if you like stories told in a friendly manner (the author is literally talking to you), you might want to try it. Short and quick, not every tale will make you laugh your heart out but they will surely leave you with a smile.
So now, why do I start saying it would be hard to review? It's simple. I DON'T READ memoirs. How can I give a five to a genre I swore I wouldn't touch with a forty feet long pole? The other reason is that while I loved it and since, remember, I don't read memoir, I have no idea of how people who do would react to this book. But this review is mine and about my own tastes so…

I read this book while on vacation. Laughed out loud many times.. very easy read.
This book was an honest look at the joy, and perils found in living life. Each story is written with honesty, humor, and despair. You will cheer, laugh, cringe and even shed a tear! Fast enjoyable read which will leave you reminiscing about your own passage to adulthood.
I am fascinated by the author's obvious erudition and intelligence, combined with a funny, gritty slant on his life experiences. I would recommend it to someone who can appreciate a good poop joke if it is told with panache.
I loved this book!!! We all have done things in our lives that seem embarrassing in retrospect, and the author is no exception. This was so fun to read and made me feel better about my own stupidity. The stories are short and so well written, you will laugh your way through some pretty painful experiences, and you will wonder just how he survived to write this book! If you want a great read, buy this book! I look forward to more by Mr. Buenafe.
